From the rural West of the Constituency to the bustling conurbations of the historic market towns of Wareham, Wimborne and North Poole, MD&NP is a hugely varied constituency that is geographically at the heart of the County. With significant parts of Poole Harbour being within the constituency and with Wareham’s long historic links to waterborne trade, Mid Dorset and North Poole has both a strong maritime and rural character that has been shaped since the Roman period.
